WEAPONS: Sky Mare Ring
PERSONALITY: Byakuran is one of the bosses of the Millefiore Family. He's seemingly congenial, lax & a bit too easygoing, but underneath that superficial surface he's as ruthless as they come. He singlehandedly orders the absolute annihilation of the Vongola family, as well as anyone affiliated with them ( including their families ), in an attack called the Killing Sweep. Men, women, children, all or nothing. To Byakuran the end justifies the means. Which also means that he'll use anything & everything at hand to accomplish what he sets out to do, but not without proper planning. Something his family ( the Gesso ) also follows as members of the White Spell.
But he has a tendency to push people with simple words just to get a rise out of them or for his own amusement. It's the mun's belief that he does this for more in-depth reasons. As in, to acquire more information on a person, or to break their concentration/set them off balance. Like I said before, he seems a bit lax, as in nothing seems to ruffle him, but that doesn't necessarily mean he lacks a reason for this. Always, he maintains a calm composure, while continuously looking for new sources of entertainment.
He also comes complete with a creepy sort of smile. Yeah, that one. You know which one I'm talking about.
SAMPLE RP: A thousand flowers for one family. When another member of the Vongola falls, Byakuran peels petals off of the ones that sit idly in a room that succumbs to glass. In Italy, it is the rarest greenhouse, the highest flavor of artificial sky. The only tower that reflects a garden of white orchids strategically placed to be obedient & silent, while never losing their white-washed splendor. They continue to bloom like perfect plans, perfect settings of time, while also being the lesser evil compared to the living garden he's cultivated to move, to breathe & to kill without a thought.
There is the Gesso family, Byakuran's own. White spells of moving limbs, short sharp tongues & cutting wit. Clad in white & gracefully competent enough to answer to his every call. Above the Gioglio Nero, which has a penchant for attacking first without using the more than adequate skill of observation. An opinion that Ipheion Uniflorum, with her sacrosanct eyes & pencil-thin lips, would deny with her usual, flat-line charm.
Carefully, using chalk-white confections, Byakuran spells her name out on top of a coffee table.
Yuniflora of the Gioglio Nero, the second passable section of his plans. Byakuran remembers their first meeting, the lingering scent of bruised spices & the dangerously empty dreams precariously balanced upon both their shoulders. But he forgets the memory just as quickly as he remembers & erases her name with a brush of his thin, casual fingers. Old memories sustain nothing, he reminds himself, while rearranging the pieces.
"Hmm?" Byakuran pays no real attention to the distraction. From the corner of his eyes, he merely observes the distinction between the wall & Leonardo Lippi, while nudging a letter back into place, "Didn't I say to call me by my name?"
"W-well, yes, bu-"
"Then, do so."
There is no lilt, no tone, no gesture as clear-cut as Byakuran's simple words; a warning, if anything, & a reminder that to survive within the ranks of Millefiore's white spell, Leonardo is to keep Byakuran happy. As well as do anything & everything that is asked of him. It is the only function Byakuran requires within his famiglia; the rest is an expectation, a knowledge of strategic skill. Battle is unnecessary & left up to the savage weeds grown from Ipheion Uniflorum's garden.
"Y-yes, Byakuran-sa-- Byakuran."
"Ah, that's better."
Without further word Byakuran returns 80% of his attention back to the table.
Shouichi Irie, captain of the white spell 2nd rose squad.
Perhaps it's time to send Shou-chan another message; a sea of thornless white roses. Perhaps this time Byakuran will accompany these roses and personally rid them of all their thorns. Choices. How many choices are left to him now? Time grows pale, almost baseless, as he takes apart Shouichi's name. One by one, until the last he places against his lips. The flavor holds no concern; it tastes of vanilla, spring and crushed threads of mint.
"Leo-kun, where is Shou-chan now?"
"U-uh, r-reports say that he's . . . disappeared."
A click; the confection tears in half between Byakuran's teeth; straight lines that lack confusion. Leonardo flinches, fingers tense & veins frozen as he waits for death, maybe an injury that will cause shredded bones to slowly decay within a pool of lemon & solicitous salt. He's heard that Byakuran is sometimes creative with his punishments, just as he's generous with his whims.
But, showing no signs of distress, Byakuran merely smiles. Yes, Shou-chan's absence throws his thoroughly concocted plans awry. Yes, Shou-chan will eventually answer to him when found. But, for now, he has time. & Shou-chan has always held a special place within his heart. The suspense kills him, of course; waiting isn't a function that dwells comfortably within his natural habitat. But he's learned that patience is a precaution; a symptom of victory. Which is why he makes glib jokes that slide off his tongue & refers to the unspeakable as if reading tangible minds.
"If it's Shou-chan then it's Shou-chan," Byakuran finally says, while rearranging the pieces once again. Checkmate.
Ah, the most recent policy. Complicated, yet just as deadly as the killing sweep he remembers organizing against the Vongola. He smiles again and closes his eyes before stretching against the couch with a sigh. Yes, he has time.
"I'll see to the situation personally; you can go now."
"T-thank you, Byakuran."
POST: Oh, this doesn't look like the main base. It's interesting enough, and it helps that I'm bored. But, since an urgent situation has come up, this method will do. Usually I'm against such things, but perhaps some of you are familiar with Shou-chan.
If you've seen this person, please direct him to Byakuran. And tell him that he comes bearing white tulips*. After all, it's been awhile since we've seen each other.
And I do hate quarreling with him.
NOTE: In flower language, white tulips mean forgiveness*
